In this work, the 1663-64. Esterházy describes the history of the Turkish war. It begins with the vicissitudes of the history of Transylvania and then continues the events beyond the Vasvár peace treaty until the spring of 1665, after which the description stops. The main merit of the work lies in the narration of the events in which Pál Esterházy participated alongside Miklós Zrinyi, towards whom Esterházy showed respect and sympathy.
